Cinematography: A group of techniques used to capture images (applies to film and photography)

Angles
- Birds eye- Audience more important



- High angle- for a smaller less significant object

Frames 

-Extreme Long Shot- Contains large amount of landscape (often used at the beginning of a film to establish location)Image result for extreme long shot

-Two shot- Head to toe of characters, viewer takes in costume, develop opinion; also demonstrates relationship between them

-Mid shot- Waist up (waist down) for more detail (facial expressions)Image result for two shot mean girls movie

-Close up- One face- understand character's emotion

Photographic Techniques

Used  to create visually stimulating scenes and to show emphasis on specific objects and people.

- Positioning of characters



-Leading lines- the lines your eyes are drawn to in a shotImage result for leading line shots from titanic the movie



-Depth of field- The range of distance from the camera that all the objects are in focus. Objects outside this line appear blurred.

-Viewpoint
-Framing

Camera Movement
-Pan - Horizontal scan
-Tilt- Vertical scan

-Zoom- Changes the position of the audience, creates dramatic effect

-Aerial shot- Similar to extreme long shot but camera moves within itImage result for ET movie birds eye view
