The apartment scene notes Lighting: Changes throughout the scene; starts with a high key, warm pink light to reflect a more relaxed atmosphere and changes to a low key, dim lighting to reflect an uneasy, dangerous atmosphere before a character is shot. Sound: Creshendo of dramatic music whilst Li''l Ze shoots one person after another Music that was playing suddenly cuts when knocking on the doors occurs, to startle the audience and forebode.  Narrative: Non linear Structure- Flashback to past at the start to illustrate how events accumulate to a certain point Character arc- Lil Ze becomes unlikeable -We are given information about past events that averts  our first impressions Camera: Fixed position- suggests the audience are being given important information. Does not create any inequality between the audience and the actors as a low shot does. Canted angle- shows imbalance of statuses and fates in the City, and creates a dizzy uneasiness and lack of control....

City of God Opening Sequence on Cinematography, Mise-en-scene, Editing and Sound Sound -Opening shot of knife is foreboding danger, the diegetic sound is quick and frantic- creating a dangerous representation -Non diegetic sound of the drum beat, reflects the culture and the fast pace - Energy bursts from both types of sound - Silence when the chicken escapes to mark the moment and allow the audience to regather thoughts Editing -Immediately forced into another world with lots of transitions fading in and fading out, as if you are blinking and waking up  on another world Cinematography -By making all the shots closeups, you are given the chicken's perspective, this does not allow the audience to know where they are, and creates intensity.   the camera is positioned at the chicken's level to give theaudience a deeper insight into the chicken's perspective - the cinematography changes to force you to see through Rocket's eyes - the golden colour...
