ideas for short film/script
DEVELOPMENT OF A CHARACTER:
From a Mouse's perspective: looking down below at flats from the cracks in a roof
-We see snippets of conversation/introductions to human characters
-We realise that it is from the mouse's perspective only when we hear scuttling in the sound of the mouse travelling to the next flat
-We start each snippet with a "birds eye view" and the camera could zoom down to be at the level of the actors
Snippet ideas: (not in chronological order yet)
-(A level biology student directing a mouse and writing copious notes
-A couple arguing about how to get rid of a mouse infestation
-A family eating dinner and a mouse coming out into the dining room and the children screaming and the mouse essentially ruining the meal) NOT THE DRIVING FORCE OF A CONVERSATION
-Domestic violence
The mouse's voice talking from his own perspective would also be included
Possible idea: The mouse tries to be helpful in someone's house (passing someone salt when cooking)
Link the scenes
make the mouse the twist
Mouse's point of view monologue at the start but we don't see him.
We are taking a look at domestic life behind closed doors
Watch American beauty
Explore different perspectives
desparate housewives: (set down a circular street in america) the person narrating it and linking the stories. He has access to everyone and therefore has a lot of knowledge
